Renald was born in 1962 in the beautiful Caribbean nation of Haiti -- a land rich in culture and known for its people of resilience and strength. From a young age, he was was committed to developing knowledge, intelligence, and a strong sense of humanity. These commitments drive his belief that education and compassion are two of the greatest tools for transforming communities.
Growing up in Haiti, Renald developed a strong work ethic and a heart for service. "Every child deserves opportunity, guidance, and hope," he says.
This conviction compelled him to become not only a professional chef, but also an educator and mentor. In Haiti, he founded and operated his own school, dedicated himself to shaping young minds and creating pathways for a better future.
Renald is a man of many talents and interests. As a professional chef, he uses food as a bridge -- connecting cultures, communities and people who love one another. As a handyman, he builds not only structures but also stability for those around him. As a teacher, he shares practical skills that empower others toward independence. And as a father of five children, he leads first and foremost by example -- modeling perseverance, faith, and integrity at home.
His lifelong belief in the power of humanity inspired him and a few trusted friends to establish Elev8 Action Services, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Elev8 was created with with a clear mission: to uplift, educate, and empower children and families in need. The name "Elev8" reflects his vision to elevate lives, communities, and futures beyond imagination.
"Through Elev8, I can continue my commitment to service, collaboration, and transformation," says Renald. "I believe that when people come together with compassion and purpose, real change happens. My work is rooted in faith, driven by love, and guided by the principle that every human being deserves dignity and opportunity."
From Haiti to the United States, he seeks to proclaim a message of hope: that no matter where you begin, you can elevate lives -- including your own -- with vision, faith, and action,
